Tom Welling has hung up his cape and sadly he is uninvolved in the new franchise Man of Steel, but he’ll always be our Superman. As you may remember, he played the oldest Baker child in the Cheaper by the Dozen films while he was on Smallville. After the show ended in 2011, he took a tiny break, coming back to screen for the film Parkland in 2013. In 2014 he was in the film Draft Day with Kevin Costner (who played Jonathan Kent in Man of Steel) and Jennifer Garner. He’s currently working on The Choice, a Nicholas Sparks film to be released later in 2015.

Lex Luthor has hair now, apparently. Michael has been involved with the DC universe for quite some time, before, during, and after Smallville, voicing The Flash in Justice League and Agent West in the TV shows The Zeta Project and Batman Beyond. He was in the 2012 film Hit and Run, with a recurring role in the TV series Breaking In from 2011-2012. He made his directing debut with Back in the Day, which he also acted in, wrote, and produced in 2014. It was announced in June 2014 that he would have a lead in the show Impastor on TV Land. You can catch him as the voice of Drift Leader in the animated film Justice League: Throne of Atlantis in 2015.

You may or may not know, but Chloe Sullivan did not originally appear in the DC Comic universe. It was due to the popularity of the character on the TV show, thanks to Mack’s performance, that she was introduced in 2010 to the comic series. Since her days as Chloe, Allison Mack starred in Marilyn as the title character the same year Smallville ended. From 2012-2014, she was Amanda on Wilfred. In 2014 she appeared on the popular show The Following, in which her former co-star Aaron Ashmore’s twin brother, Shawn, currently stars. According to her Twitter account, she has also lent her voice to an Amazon cartoon.

Jensen Ackles – Jason Teague
Jensen Ackles – Jason Teague
The CW/WENN
Has anyone seen this guy recently? JK. Jensen Ackles hasn’t left The CW (it was The WB when he started) in 13 years, first appearing in 2002 on Dawson’s Creek as Jen’s kind-of-jerk boyfriend. Then he showed up on Smallville as Lana’s new love interest. But that didn’t last long, because The CW had a better place for him, Supernatural. He’s spent the last 10 years as Dean Winchester on the supernatural crime-fighting show, with Jared Padalecki as his on-screen brother, off-screen bestie. He’s been in two films over this time period, Ten Inch Hero and My Bloody Valentine. Supernatural was picked up for an 11th season, so we will continue seeing him on The CW, probably until the channel ends.
