‘The Newsroom’ Season 2 Trailer Deals Some Serious Drama

The workplace with all the bickering you hate to love in Aaron Sorkin‘s The Newsroom returns to HBO with an all new season in just over a month. The latest trailer for the hit series goes to show that the hype for the second season is totally justified.

The trailer for the drama-infused show cuts right into a fresh-faced litigator (Marcia Gay Harden) deriding News Night host Will McAvoy (Jeff Daniels) for referring to the Tea Party as “The American Taliban”… yikes! The trailer features a lot of punches, relationship troubles, and a ton of stressed-out face wrinkles. We also learn that the Occupy Wall Street movement and the 2012 election are set as the backbones for the show.

To add to the dramatics (not that we needed more turmoil on this show), the ‘News Night’ gang is on the line more than ever, which is clear as Harden’s character claims “No one responsible for the broadcast will ever work again.” Dun dun duuuun!
