The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards are shaping up to be a major night for music, with several new performers joining the star-studded lineup. Lisa, Shaboozey, Raye, Sienna Spiro, GENER8ION, Gunna and Yung Lean have been announced as performers for this year’s ceremony.
The newly announced artists will join Madonna, who is set to open the show. Hosted by Snoop Dogg, the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards will take place live in Los Angeles on September 27.

2026 MTV Video Music Awards: Lisa, Raye and Shaboozey Join the Lineup
Lisa is returning to the VMA stage for the television debut of her new single “SaWaDiKa.” The track comes from her upcoming EP, Press Play. The performance follows the recent premiere of her documentary Always Lalisa, which explores her career and experiences outside the K-pop system.
Raye will make her VMA performance debut this year. The British singer has earned two nominations, including a Song of the Year nod for “Where Is My Husband!”
Shaboozey will also perform at the ceremony for the first time, taking the stage with his hit “Cowgirl.” He will additionally be joined by Gunna for the first broadcast performance of their collaboration “High Noon.”

More First-Time Performances
Sienna Spiro is another first-time VMA performer and nominee. She is nominated for Best New Artist.

GENER8ION and Yung Lean will debut their collaboration “Storm II” during a world premiere performance. Both artists are nominated in multiple categories, including Video of the Year, Best Direction and Best Choreography.
The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Los Angeles on CBS and MTV. The ceremony marks the show’s return to the city for the first time since 2017.
Additional performers, presenters and special guests are expected to be announced ahead of the ceremony.
