Colombian television actor Luis Fernando Montoya-Correa was arrested Tuesday in Miami after he allegedly tried to smuggle heroin concealed in his body, Reuters reports. Inspectors at the Miami International Airport grew suspicious after the actor became nervous during a luggage check after arriving from Colombia on Sunday night. The actor was taken to a local hospital, where he allegedly passed 100 latex-covered pellets containing heroin, weighing 2.5 pounds and valued wholesale at $80,000, the Customs Service told Reuters. Montoya’s career was at its peek during the 1980s, but has faded reportedly due to drug and alcohol problems.
