Jolie Goes to Cambodia

Video vixen Lara Croft can add ancient Cambodian temples to her domain. The actioner “Tomb Raider,” based on a popular video game and starring Angelina Jolie as the gun-slinging character Croft, will film scenes at Cambodia’s famous Angkor Wat temples, a Cambodian official announced today.

Authorities will not allow any shooting of guns in the temple complex, which dates from the 9th century. Filming of “Tomb Raider” will begin in late November.

Som Sokun, cinema director for the ministry of culture and fine arts, said actor Matt Dillon has also asked for permission to film “Beneath the Banyan Tree” in Cambodia.
