Forget about the monkey. Let’s just all do the catwalk.
The Hollywood Reporter says today that funny guy Mike Myers, who last made headlines with the multi-round legal imbroglio against Universal Pictures over the scrapped “Dieter” flick, is developing a comedy with DreamWorks about the life of a supermodel.
The flick, inspired by fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi’s comic book “The Adventures of Sandee the Supermodel,” might star Myers. No writer has been attached to the project yet.
If the flick does get rolling, Universal is expected to collaborate on the project with Myers, thus fulfilling the settlement commitment bore out of the “Dieter” lawsuits.
MAKING NOISE: Expect Vince Vaughn to cause a stir. The actor might co-star with John Travolta in the thriller “Domestic Disturbance,” according to the Reporter. The film, which goes into production in mid-January, follows a divorced father (Travolta) as he discovers that his young son’s new stepfather (Vaughn) isn’t exactly your regular Mike Brady.
C’MON, BILLY: Billy Crudup, who was last seen as a rock ‘n’ roll cliche in “Almost Famous,” will star opposite Cate Blanchett in the drama “Charlotte Gray,” the Reporter says. Based on the novel of the same name by Sebastian Faulks, the period piece follows a young Scottish woman (Blanchett) who joins the French resistance to rescue her man (Crudup).
GETTING ‘DOWN’: Jerry Bruckheimer never stops working. His next project, about two childhood friends who get caught up with the mob titled “Down and Under,” might star “Me, Myself & Irene‘s” Anthony Anderson in one of the main roles, according to the Reporter.
