Jay Leno, host of NBC’s The Tonight Show, competes for ratings with David Letterman‘s Late Show on CBS, but he doesn’t understand why there has to be personal competition between the two late-night comedians, to TV Guide:
“You’d think after all this time it would be, ‘Oh, well, he’s successful, I’m successful; everybody is rich beyond their wildest dreams.’ I don’t know why there has to be such animosity. It just seems odd to me.”
