Is the man in black now the man in red? Hardly.
It’s doubtful that film star Will Smith is low on cash, as the star of blockbusters such as “Men in Black” and “Independence Day” is a sure bet. But there’s definitely $60,000 less in his bank account after spending a week in Las Vegas to prepare for his role in “The Legend of Bagger Vance.”
The Associated Press says Smith and golf coach Ron Del Barrio spent quite some time, and money, at the gambling tables while they were in Sin City. Smith reportedly lost 60 grand in about 20 minutes, after which Smith made Del Barrio a promise.
“Ron,” Smith said. “I guarantee you this: You will never see me gamble again.”
Smith reportedly kept his promise and never went near another table while he was in Las Vegas.
Maybe he can write it off as a traveling expense?
