Ladies and Gentlemen, the ‘Game of Thrones’ Theme, Courtesy of a Bell Tower

Credit: HBO

Every Sunday night, for about a full two minutes, we endure the ominous rhythms of the Game of Thrones theme song — an all at once gripping and fightful orchestration to introduce our weekly adventures through Westeros. But that fear-inducing melody is just not creepy enough chiming through our small screen speakers. It deserves its place from the most shudder-worthy venue imaginable: a bell tower.

Yes, the University of Wisconsin – Madison has bestowed unto the world the most unnerving ballad known to man: the Game of Thrones theme as played, at an appropriately slowed down rate, from its campus bell tower.
