Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade: 6 Most Overtly Promotional Balloons, Floats

2012HolidayBackButton651.jpgThe annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a mainstay for many TV watchers on Turkey Day. The A-List performers! The floats! Those fun giant balloons!

But let’s not forget that there’s a lot of hard work that goes into the production of this massive event, attended by a whopping 3 million people and watched by 50 million (it’s like the Super Bowl of holidays).

It’s not only, arguably, the most important marketing effort by Macy’s department stores, but it also involves major marketing efforts by other big brands, including McDonald’s, Pillsbury, Energizer, M&Ms and more.
