‘Tree Of Life’ Trailer Grows Online

Here’s the first trailer for Terrence Malick’s long in-the-works Tree of Life starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn. From the trailer, I can tell that Malick has an affinity for natural photography instead of CG altered film but as for the actual story? I think it involves someone growing up in the 50’s? And there is space travel in it? And Brad Pitt is Sean Penn’s father? There are some amazing shots in the film, but I have no idea what is going on. The wikipedia plot summary doesn’t help either: “…this story is that of adult Jack, a lost soul in a modern world, seeking to discover amid the changing scenes of time that which does not change: the eternal scheme of which we are a part.” WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? IS THAT A STORY? I’M PRETTY SURE THAT DOESN’T MAKE GRAMMATICAL SENSE. MY HEAD HURTS.
