Robert Downey Jr. Shocker: Jail No Fun!

An incarcerated life is not a fun life. This and other shocking revelations in a new Vanity Fair profile on Robert Downey Jr., the one-time Oscar nominee (for 1992’s “Chaplin”) who’s been chilling behind bars for drug-related parole violations since June 1999.

“I’m just sinking further into my depression sessions,” Downey tells the mag. “Sometimes I’m just dead, living in a [blanking] warehouse. I’m ready to get out.”

The actor is not due to be released until November — at the earliest.

And if you’re wondering whether the 35-year-old “Pick-Up Artist” has been assaulted while in prison, Vanity Fair was, too. And even though it asked (and asked and asked and asked …), Downey would not tell.

“I would never tell you the worst things that have happened to me,” the actor says in the interview.
