Looks like Madonna is really getting the itch to perform again.
The pop star and her new husband, Guy Ritchie, joined a group of worshipers to sing Christmas carols at a Christmas Midnight Mass at St. Michael’s Church in Wisford, England, Reuters reports.
“Madonna and Guy joined in with all the usual songs like ‘While Shepherds Watched’ and ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’,” canon John Reynolds, who conducted the service, said.
Before attending the service, the newlyweds spent the evening enjoying festive drinks at the local village pub. The couple is honeymooning at a 52-acre estate in the area after getting married Friday.
BSB IN MEXICO: The Backstreet Boys are making a run for the border. The boy band will head for Mexico City in March to perform their first concert in support of their latest record “Black & Blue,” Reuters reports.
To date, the band has sold a combined 55 million records worldwide. They’ve sold 350,000 copies of “Black & Blue” in Mexico.
HIS HEART’S ACHY AND BREAKY: Country star Billy Ray Cyrus raised nearly $15,000 at a benefit concert he put on for a police officer killed in the line of duty, The Associated Press reports.
The Saturday night concert was held at a local school in Hohenwald, Tenn., in honor of police officer Alan Ragsday, who was killed Nov. 27 while investigating a burglar alarm at a motorcycle dealership.
About 1,000 people attended the concert. The former ponytailed and tight-jeans-wearing Cyrus is best known for his 1992 hit single “Achy Breaky Heart.”
