Kate Hudson Weds Rocker

Ingenue Kate Hudson played a rock band groupie in Cameron Crowe‘s “Almost Famous“, but she isn’t about to settle for just that in real life.

Hollywood’s It Girl tied the knot with her rocker boyfriend, Black Crowes’ lead singer Chris Robinson, at a New Year’s Eve ceremony at the Aspen, Colo., ranch owned by Hudson‘s mother Goldie Hawn and her longtime boyfriend Kurt Russell, Hudson‘s publicist Brad Cafarelli confirmed to Hollywood.com today.

According to Cafarelli, the wedding theme was romantic 19th century (whatever that means) and was attended by the bride and groom’s families and close friends.

Hudson‘s close friend Dyani Redclay served as her maid of honor, and Robinson’s younger brother and band mate Rich was Robinson’s best man.

In the sartorial department, Hudson, Redclay and Hawn all wore gowns designed by Vera Wang, while on the groom’s side — including Russell, who gave the bride away — the men were decked out in Brioni suits.

Hudson, 21, and Robinson, 34, dated for about a year. It was the first marriage for both.

Hudson recently received a Golden Globe nomination for best supporting actress for her “band aide” role in “Almost Famous.” She is due in London next week to shoot the war drama “Four Feathers.”

The Black Crowes are currently recording a new album.
