Dino-might!

Universal’s Jurassic Park III roared into theaters Wednesday with a sensational first-day take of $19 million, according to studio estimates. Analysts said it could set the stage for the biggest opening of the year this weekend and perhaps one of the biggest of all time. (Jurassic Park: The Lost World, the first of the animated/anamatronic dinosaur sequels, holds the record for the biggest weekend of all time — $72.1 million, earned during the Memorial Day holiday in 1997.) The record for the best Wednesday opening of all time is held by Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace, which earned $28.5 million in May 1999.
