Quote of the Day: Vanilla Ice on selling out

Vanilla Ice, who’s currently on tour to promote his new album Bi-Polar, on his motivation for his early ’90s image, to Salon.com:

“They told me, we want you to wear these baggy pants because the young kids like it and it’s all glittery and polished and everything, and I said, ‘no,’ and they said, ‘Well here’s a million dollars, man, will you do it?’ And I said, ‘F*** yes.’ And anybody would have done the same thing if they were given the same chance. [Vanilla Ice followed with a suggestion on what else he’d do for a million dollars, but it’s not quite polite enough to print here.]”
