“King” of the deal

Larry King has signed a new four-year contract with CNN that will pay him
$14 million per year plus perks (including use of a company plane), the
New York Post reported today citing columnist Liz Smith.
(Word of the deal does not appear in Smith’s column, which is carried by the
Post.)

The newspaper observed that the deal is roughly equal to the
one Katie Couric recently landed with NBC.
