Daily Variety reports that the anchorwoman has renegotiated her contract with ABC News for that much, making her the highest paid news person around.
Under the five-year deal, Walters will continue to anchor “20/20 Friday” and host two “Barbara Walters Specials” each year. Also, she’s to keep her gig on the ABC morning talk show “The View.”

Before the raise, the 68-year-old news maven made a paltry $10 million a year.
Walters got her start as a writer and researcher for NBC’s “Today” show. She was the first woman to ever anchor the nightly news with “ABC Evening News” from 1976-78.
