Brokaw says he won’t play “contract game”

Tom Brokaw has indicated that he plans to renew his contract as the
anchor of NBC Nightly News when it expires next year.

“I’ve never
played the contract game publicly before,” he told today’s New York Times.

“But they know that I’m here to stay. This is
where I work. This is what I love. I’m engaged and energized by this. I
feel this is probably the greatest professional obligation I’ve ever
had, to stay in the mix here in all the roles that I have,
professionally and personally. That’s going to be true for the
foreseeable future.”
