Elton John has agreed to record two 1930s standards, Ain’t
Misbehavin’ and Makin’ Whoopee, for the soundtrack of an
upcoming British film, Shoreditch, starring Joely Richardson.
Malcolm Needs, the film’s director, told the U.K. entertainment website
Ananova that John will perform the songs in his “own inimitable
style.” Needs added: “They’re two songs which I think suit him perfectly
and help us tremendously.”
