Janet Jackson has called off the European leg of her “All For You” tour due to safety concerns in the aftermath of the recent terrorist attacks on America.
“If anything happened to anyone on this tour, I could never forgive myself,” Jackson said in a statement released in London. “Like most people, the events of September 11 have troubled me enormously and I remain concerned about the foreseeable future.”
In the statement, the singer mentioned that the risk to her tour personnel was “too great to proceed comfortably,” Reuters reported.
Jackson is no stranger to touring setbacks: she has also canceled and rescheduled dates because of the flu, emergency dental surgery and a scheduling conflict at Madison Square Garden.
Full refunds will be given to fans that bought tickets for the European dates, which were scheduled from Oct. 31 through Dec. 17.
