Madonna’s verbiage left unchecked

Should we be shocked that Madonna keeps shocking us?

Today Britain’s Channel 4 was reprimanded by the Independent Television Commission (ITC) for failing to bleep out a 4-letter-word Madonna used on a live broadcast in January, Reuters reports.

While presenting an award at an art show, the singer used the expletive as she announced the winner. She also claimed award shows were “silly” and that art was the best when no sort of monetary exchange was involved (an obvious crack about the $20,000 pounds being awarded).

Reportedly, attempts the station made to bleep out the word failed. Since the show was aired before 9 p.m., when language standards are higher, Channel 4 was found guilty of breaching its code of conduct by the ITC.

Unfortunately, Madonna refused to let the station read her speech, and the station feels their “trust in Madonna was abused.”

Meanwhile, People reports Madonna‘s in talks with Eon Productions to record a song for the next James Bond movie.
