“Friends” star Matthew Perry says he does not need a new liver, but if he did, he doesn’t think his fellow cast members would wait out the transplant ordeal with him at the hospital. Oh, well.
“[It was funny] because at one point, there was this story in a London tabloid that all the ‘Friends’ had gathered around me,” Perry says in an interview to be broadcast tonight on the TV infotainment show “Access Hollywood.” “… Like they would really take time off out of their day to surround me and wait for a liver or something.”
The interview is Perry‘s first on-camera one since (a) being hospitalized with a bad stomach; (b) crashing his Porsche into a house; and, (c) denying tab reports that he needed a liver transplant.
The 31-year-old actor tells “Access Hollywood” that, aside from all that other stuff, “everything is great.”
“I’m in much better shape than my car,” he cracks.
To show off his not-on-deathbed self, Perry attended Monday’s Hollywood premiere of “Gone in 60 Seconds.”
