Hooray for ABC. Hooray for Ricky turned Rick Schroder. Word is today that the alphabet network’s cop show “NYPD Blue” has been renewed through 2002, meaning that the Emmy-winning show will remain on the air for a ninth and 10th season.
While the particulars of the agreement are still under negotiations, Daily Variety says ABC is likely to order 20 new episodes each year.
