Actor Antonio Banderas might be headed for repatriation in his next project.
Daily Variety reports that the Spanish actor is in talks to star in “Fu Manchu,” a film that will be helmed by Spanish director Alex de la Iglesia.
The project, priced at $15 million to $20 million, is said to be one of the most expensive English projects to come out of Europe next year. In the film, Banderas will play an amnesiac Latino FBI agent who is shadowing a mythical Chinese doctor.
As of now, no start date has been attached to the project.
TEEN RIOT: Variety also says that “Malcolm in the Middle” youth Frankie Muniz and Nickelodeon’s “The Amanda Show” teen Amanda Bynes are set to star in the comedy “Lost and Found.”
The story is about a kid and his friend out for payback when a Hollywood producer rips off his idea for a movie.
