The sister of Barry George, who was convicted of murdering British television personality Jill Dando, told the Irish Examiner that he could not have committed the crime, Reuters reports. George received a life sentence on Monday after being found guilty of shooting Dando on April 26, 1999. George, who has a history of stalking women and once served a sentence for attempted rape, maintains his innocence. Michelle Diskin told the paper that her brother was eccentric but not dangerous and was not responsible for the murder. Dando, 37, was shot on the steps of her London home with a single bullet.
