“Sopranos” DVD set shoots to #2 on sales chart

The video edition of The Sopranos
: The Second Season has opened at No. 2 on Amazon.com’s DVD sales
chart, just behind Shrek, the biggest theatrical hit of the year.

Today’s USA Today indicated that the $100 pricetag for
the four-disc package has not deterred many consumers.

It quoted one
fan, David Vaughn of Vacavile, CA, as saying, “It’s easier to watch that
way than paying for HBO every month.”
