Despite an unrelenting attack by Howard Stern on their decision to
cancel his syndicated TV show, The Howard Stern Radio Show, CBS
execs are considering filling his old slot with a Stern-produced sitcom,
the New York Daily News reported today.
According to the
newspaper, the series, titled Kane, could make its debut in the
first half of next year.
Word of the possible deal with Stern comes just
days after Stern laid into CBS chief executive Les Moonves on his
morning radio show. “Les Moonves is a snake and nobody should do
business with him,” Stern said. “He’s such a snake. He’s a snake in the
grass, but I always knew that. … I called that creep last night to
straighten him out. He avoided my phone calls, he ducked me. Now I know
why. I hate him. I always have.” (In fact, Stern has usually had cordial
things to say about Moonves.)
