Stone Temple Pilots’ drummer Eric Kretz is also suffering wedding blues. His ex-wife sued him Monday for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court for $1.6 million, or half his earnings, and financial support.
The Kretzs dated for a decade but were only legally married for four years. The couple officially ended their marriage in November 2000.
According to Launch.com, Shari W. Kretz’s suit provided details of their relationship. In her court papers, Kretz said that her ex-husband encouraged her to abandon her career in fashion in order to help run his affairs; promised to buy her a large house; and “provide her with lifetime support, and share his earnings with her to provide a lavish lifestyle for her.”
Kretz also claimed to have ended a pregnancy after the drummer “promised that if she had an abortion that they should have another child when Eric was more ‘financially able to do so.'”
A Stone Temple Pilots spokesperson had no comment regarding the lawsuit.
