Time Inc. Editorial Director Walter Isaacson has been named to replace Tom Johnson as chairman and CEO of CNN. In a statement, Isaacson said that he expected to keep CNN practicing “great journalism” and also to convey “the enthusiasm and fun that comes from engaging with interesting events, ideas and personalities.” A respected journalist, Isaacson had previously served as managing editor of Time magazine.
