According to Reuters, CNN founder Ted Turner is taking on Tinseltown with a new movie production company that is set to produce feature-length films and documentaries. The studio, under construction outside of Atlanta, will not churn out typical Hollywood fare–instead, it will produce movies about Turner‘s personal causes: nuclear war, the importance of the United Nations and the Civil War. AOL Time Warner–which owns Turner’s media empire–is expected to co-produce the new studio’s endeavors.
