Hail to the new chief at Fox…. Actually, make that chiefs.
James Gianopulos, president of 20th Century Fox Intl., and Tom Rothman, president of 20th Century Fox Film Group, have been tapped as joint chairmen of Fox Filmed Entertainment, Daily Variety reports today.
Gianopulos is a top leader in international distribution, while Rothman’s background includes movie production.

Fox says the pair will “jointly run the company with equal responsibilities.”
The post has been vacant since the departure of then-Fox Chairman Bill Mechanic in June.
