Contrary to the rumor mill, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs has denied that he is the reason his former girlfriend Jennifer Lopez recently separated from her husband of eight months, Cris Judd, The Associated Press reports. Combs issued a statement Monday saying that he and Lopez are not together but that "he wishes her well during this difficult time." The couple dated for two years before breaking up in February 2001. Lopez married Judd, one of her backup dancers, seven months later.
Woody Allen's former producing partner, Jean Doumanian, the defendant in the director's $12 million lawsuit, testified Monday that she could not remember the details of the film deals she made with Allen since 1993. Allen is suing her for lost profits on eight of their films, claiming she cheated him out of the money. She did testify, however, that she gave herself a $250,000 raise during that time and did not tell Allen the money would come from his profits.
The Looney Tunes characters are heading back to the big screen. AP reports Warner Bros. announced plans Monday to make another feature film with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and the gang, the first since the 1996 hit Space Jam. Called Looney Tunes: Back in Action, the film will once again use live-action backgrounds and will star Brendan Fraser as a man searching for his father and missing treasure with a little help from his cartoon friends.
RKO Pictures will be remaking one of its classics, the 1947 movie Born to Kill. The film centers on a greedy woman who hires a con artist to murder her wealthy stepsister, never realizing the man may be only looking out for himself.
Alexandra Holden (Ross' student girlfriend on Friends) will be starring as Mandy Moore's best friend in Moore's new film How to Deal. The singer will play a teenager who decides love doesn't exist when she sees how wrong it can go. Film production starts June 24.
Say goodbye to ABC's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The network announced that the onetime smash hit game show hosted by Regis Philbin will be going off as a regular network series for good on June 27. The show will be revamped to air as an occasional special next year.
Jumping on The Osbournes bandwagon, singer Brandy has joined up with MTV to document the birth of her first child. The documentary miniseries Diary Presents: Brandy--Special Delivery will debut June 18 and will follow the recording artist as she juggles marriage, career, family and impending motherhood.
Miami Beach will be the site for MTV's first Latin music video awards show, MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamerica. The show will be taped Oct. 24 and will air on MTV's Latin American channel.
